super bowl

The super bowl in another country, esp. a country that is not that into football is very refreshing. It was so nice to not have to hear the super hype leading up to the game. Two weeks of bullshit that means nothing, reports about Peyton Manning waking up with a broken fingernail and whether that will hurt him in the game that takes place 10 days from now. It was nice to just enjoy the game as a game. That said, my coworker, Jodi Klemme, threw a really good super bowl party. She had a projector and bought the game online so we projected the game on her living room wall. It was a lot of fun to watch the game with fans and people who had no idea what was going on. Also, we watched the game broadcast out of England so we didnt have to deal with the TV Commercials. Interestingly, one of the broadcasters for the game was Don Johnson, Mr. Miami Vice.

I am heading to a Venezuela national team soccer game on Feb. 7th, Venezuela vs. Chili. I will post pics from this game afterwards. I will add more soon
